Most applicants are unaware that the Australian immigration authority accepts multiple international English proficiency tests—not just IELTS. One of these recognized alternatives is the PTE (Pearson Test of English). While IELTS is jointly conducted by Cambridge, the British Council, and IDP, the PTE is a U.S.-based English language test that holds equal value for Australian immigration purposes.
